Shivek is a product engineer, entrepreneur, writer, and investor.
He has shipped products used by millions, led teams, built revenue-generating systems, and advised companies on product and growth.
Background
His story started in 2006, where he gained access to internet for the first time. Writing code in html felt like magic. But due to lack of access to computers, and broadband internet he had to wait until 2009 to start coding seriously. He started writing Bash and C++, learning from books and practicing in the limited computer time available.
Growth
In 2013, he started volunteering at a local NGO, helping with the website and other tasks. In this process he was introduced to CodeIgniter, Laravel and the PHP community. He also started pursing his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Information Technology from the University of Delhi.
During his tenure at the university, he worked with multiple startups and got exposed to the world of entrepreneurship. He tried his hand at multiple startups, none of which were successful.
After graduating, he picked up Clojure and ClojureScript, and became a full time consultant. Working with telecommunication and insurance companies.
In the macro bull run of 2021, he co-founded Meta Blocks, an upgradable NFT protocol on Solana. Meta Blocks grew to 8k+ members and was valued at $10M. Although the project generated predictable revenue, it was not suitable for the high growth trajectory of the crypto market. He decided to shut down the project and return the money to the investors in 2025.
Now
He is currently getting better at building AI systems, writing this blog, and preparing to start again.
